Visit BMC Performance Bicycles - SwitzerlandAn extremely well regarded global bike brand, BMC is renowned for their exceptional success in racing and their commitment to produce “the fastest bikes the world has ever seen” through an innovative long-term partnership with Red Bull Advanced Technologies.
Long-term, authentic relationships are similarly something VentureWeb (VW) gets stoked on, and we so appreciated a referral to BMC from a past client. Our substanial experience in the biking industry, along with many of our team being enthusiastic bikers themselves, our Shopify expertise, and style of working solidified the spark of this partnership between VW and BMC. VW was brought on to replatform BMC’s digital presence from magneto to Shopify in early 2023.
Like many of the clients we’re grateful to work with, that initial project evolved into VW becoming a trusted partner for BMC, resulting in two more replatform projects with them: SCOR Mountain Bikes and BMC’s B2B site.

Elevating the path-to-purchase
BMC’s previous website iteration on magneto didn’t do its high performance reputation justice. After tapping into our Shopify expertise to transition the site from magneto, VW worked to substantially improve the site’s navigation. Users had previously met multiple obstacles in their path-to-purchase, so we further elevated the end-to-end experience into a clear and concise journey that resulted in more consumers crossing the finish line to conversion.
Global reputation, global functionality
VW worked to create a site that celebrated BMC’s position as a global brand by servicing its international audience. We enabled multi-language, multi-currency, and multi-region functionality, so no matter where the buyer is they can engage with the BMC story and enjoy a purchase experience without the additional obstacles of translation and currency conversion.
Modern management for B2B (and BMC)
Our third project with BMC was to replatform their B2B website. With a passion for lifelong learning and stretching ourselves for clients core to VW values, we were excited to tap into the newly released B2B function on Shopify for BMC. The resulting site enables distributors and independent bike dealers to enjoy a far more modern B2B performance experience, one which is as sleek and seamless as the BMC bikes themselves. Users are able to easily manage their BMC accounts and search product availability through a central platform. This ease of management also extends to the internal BMC team’s workflow with the update of the core BMC site.
